His research contributions include understanding the molecular biology of glial tumor progression, studying genomic instabilities that may contribute to alterations in tumor phenotype which in turn may confer drug resistance; study of cellular responses to stress including hypoxia, transcriptional gene silencing and its implications in tumor biology and therapeutics. CAT 2018 Admit Cards:

CAT 2018 admit card will be released on October 24, 2018. The CAT admit card will be available for download on the official website from 1:00 pm on October 24, 2018. The CAT 2018 exam will be conducted on November 25, 2018. The computer-based test will be held at exam centres in 147 cities.

CAT exam is held for admission to management programmes offered by IIM Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bodh Gaya, Calcutta, Indore, Jammu, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Sambalpur, Shillong, Sirmaur, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur and Visakhapatnam. Based on the score in CAT exam and a few other pre-defined criteria, IIMs call students for further rounds of selection.

The admit card will be released on the official website which is iimcat.ac.in.CAT 2018 will be of 180 minutes duration and will comprise of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

IIM Kolkata, which is the convening authority for CAT 2018, has also released mock test link on the official CAT 2018 website. Students due to appear for the exam can use this link to practice as well as understand the pattern of the computer-based test.

CBSE Extends Date For Class 9,11 Registration Without Late Fee

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the dates for class 9th and class 11th student registration. All CBSE affiliated schools should complete the process within the given schedule. The last date to complete the student registration process is October 30, 2018 without late fee. In case, a school misses the deadline, they can still register till November 12 but with late fee of Rs. 1000.

Those who miss the deadline of November 12, can complete the registration till November 20 by furnishing Rs. 2000 as late fee along with the initial registration fee of Rs. 150 for schools in India and Rs. 250 for class 9 students in a school abroad and Rs. 300 for class 11 student in a school abroad.

The last deadline is November 28, 2018 with Rs. 5000 late fee. Dates will not be extended further. The dates have been extended keeping in mind the holidays on account of Dussehra and ‘Titli’ cyclone.

Recently MHRD revised the affiliation norms for CBSE schools and introduced New Affiliation Bye Laws 2018. The New Bye Laws have simplified the affiliation process beginning with making the process online to bring more transparency. The inspection for infrastructure will be done by corresponding state authority and CBSE will inspect the school for quality of education and learning outcomes.The affiliation will be valid for three years  even if not expressly mentioned in the grant letter.

The Hyderabad High Court has recently directed TS Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development not to announce the results of Junior Panchayat Secretary posts till October 30.

In response to a petition filed by Telangana Grama Panchayat Employees’ Union seeking regularisation of the members of the union as panchayat secretaries as per the AP Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service Rules, 2010, Justice Naveen Rao passed this interim order.

During the trial, the petitioner’s counsel told the court that there would be adverse impact on the service conditions of the employees if the Junior Panchayat Secretary posts are filled up.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) of Indian Railways has released the exam city, date on Saturday, October 20, 2018 for Group D examination scheduled to begin from October 29, 2018 on its official websites.

CLAT 2019 Notification,Online Registration, Application Form, Exam Date

CLAT 2019 Notification, Dates, Eligibility, Registration, Syllabus:

National Law University Odisha, Cuttack (NLUO) will conduct Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for the admission year 2019-2020. The CLAT 2019 will be coducted on May 12, 2019 (Sunday) in offline mode. The official schedule will be released shortly at clat.ac.in. As per the previous year trends, the law entrance examination will be held on May 12 in paper-pen mode. Law aspirants seeking admissions to 3 year/ 5 year Integrated LLB and LLM Programs in 19 NLUs and other private schools can apply online in January 2019.

This year, the CLAT will be conducted for admissions to as many as 20 NLUs with addition of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (MPDNLU). NLUO Cuttack has released an admission notification for the Common Law Admission Test on December 20, 2018. Further, the law aspirants will be able to fill the CLAT 2019 application form between January 1 and March 31, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2019:

UG Programme:

  1. There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT 2019.
  2. As regards minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2), the candidates must have secured:
  3. Forty five percent (45%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
  4. Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
  5. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April, 2019 are also eligible to appear in CLAT-2019 online examination.
  6. The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission.

In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:

  • Higher marks in the component /section on legal aptitude in the CLAT-2019 exam;
  • Higher age;
  • Computerised draw of lots.

 PG Programme:

  1. The candidates must have minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination [i.e. LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/any other equivalent exam] as under:
  2. Fifty five percent (55%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
  3. Fifty percent (50%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
  4. The candidate must have passed/appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission.
  5. In case of candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination, he/she may submit his/her final result of qualifying examination within the time frame prescribed by the respective University/Institute. Till then such candidates may be given provisional admission.

In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by procedure and order as under:

  • Higher age;
  • Computerized draw of lots.
  • No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT-2019.

Procedure for filling up the Application Form for CLAT-2019:

  1. The application form for CLAT-2019 shall be filled Online The online application form has to be accessed from the CLAT-2019 website (www.clat.ac.in).
  2. The candidates are first required to register themselves at the CLAT-2019 online application webpage by using personal e-mail ID and mobile number.
  3. To register an application, choose the tab “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and enter Name, Email-id and Mobile number.
  4. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system.
  5. An Email and SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will be sent.
  6. Use this Provisional Registration Number and Password to log in to fill the Online Application.
  7. The Name of the candidate and the parents should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/Mark sheets/Identity proof.
  8. Any change/alteration found may disqualify their candidature.

 Documents for CLAT 2019:

The scanned copies of the documents to be uploaded by the candidates, adhering to the guidelines provided in the online application webpage, are:

1. Front facing passport size recent photograph
2. Signature of the candidate
3. The scanned copy of the certificate in PDF format issued by the competent authority to support the claim of Specially Abled Persons (SAP).

4. The original certificates/documents issued by the competent authority as specified in the brochure are to be submitted to the allotted University in the form and manner as specified by the respective universities at the time of admission.

5. The photograph and signature of the candidate need not be attested while submitting the Online Application Form.
6. The candidate can fill up the required details in the application form and save the same before finally submitting it.

Application Fee & Previous Years Question Papers Fee : 

1. General/OBC/SAP and other category candidates: Rs.4,000/-
2. SC/ST category candidates: Rs.3,500/-
3. The cost of previous years’ question papers is Rs.500/- (not included in the CLAT-2019 application fee of Rs.4,000/- or Rs.3,500/- as the case may be.)
4. The candidates themselves will have to bear the bank transaction charges for remitting the fee online

CLAT Answer Key 2019:

National Law University Odhisa, Cuttack will release the answer key of CLAT 2019 in the second week of May 2019 after the conduct of CLAT 2019. Candidates can cross-check their answers marked in the law examination and can get an idea of the marks to be scored. CLAT 2019 Answer Key will be available in online mode in two phases.

Firstly, the university will release the provisional answer key and then the final answer key of CLAT 2019. In case of any discrepancy, candidates can submit their grievances to the CLAT Committee when they open the online window for the same. After receiving all the objections and working on the same, NLUO Cuttack will release the final answer key of CLAT 2019.

CLAT Result 2019:

Candidates who will appear in CLAT 2019 will get to know their result of CLAT 2019 by the last week of May 2019. CLAT 2019 Result will mention the qualifying status, marks and ranks obtained in CLAT 2019.

CLAT Cutoff 2019:

After the declaration of the result of CLAT 2019, the CLAT Committee will release the cutoff for the candidates to seek admission in the law programmes. The CLAT cut off 2019 will be determined by the exam committee keeping in mind the result and merit list of the law entrance exam.

CLAT 2019 cut-off will depend on various factors including minimum marks, maximum marks, total number of test takers and number of vacant seats.  Admission Procedure for CLAT 2019:

The admission to UG and PG programmes in participating universities under CLAT-2019 shall be completed through centralised online counselling conducted by the CLAT Office. The basis of allotment of seats shall be ‘merit-cum-preference.

The CLAT Rank, the order of preference given by the candidate in the CLAT application form and the category / categories selected by the candidate in the online application form and the number of seats and their division/break-up as available in each of the participating NLU.

CLAT 2019 Counselling:

Online counselling shall start after the declaration of CLAT-2019 results. The entire procedure shall be completed as per the CLAT calendar which is available on the CLAT website.

Telangana VRO Exam final answer key released

Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has released the final answers key of general recruitment examination held for selection of Village Revenue Officer (VRO) in Revenue Department.

The final answer key was released on the official website of the TSPSC. The candidates can visit the official website of the Commission to check the answer key.

The Village Revenue Officer in revenue department (General Recruitment) with Notification No. 13/2018 has released the final key of Paper Code-18130 for Series-A, Series-B, Series-c and Series-D.In the final answer key, around 20 answers have been delted by the TSPSC.

The TSPSC had conducted the Village Revenue Officer on September 16 and the OMR sheet for the same was released on September 21, 2018.

There are 700 vacancies to be filled in the VRO department of the state government. Notification in this regard was released in June and the application process was conducted from June 8 to July 2, 2018.

The results of the VRO exam is expected to be released soon on the official website.
