General Disqualifications
- Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS): Use of substances banned under the NDPS Act 1985 is a rejection criterion. Post-enrolment possession, storage, distribution, or consumption of such substances is liable for disciplinary action including dismissal. IAF follows a zero-tolerance policy toward alcoholism and substance abuse.
- Body Tattoos: Permanent tattoos are not permitted, except on the inner forearm (elbow to wrist), back/reverse side of the hand, and tribal tattoos as per custom. Terms and Conditions of Engagement
- Agniveervayu Non-Combatant is enrolled under the Air Force Act 1950 for 4 years, as a distinct rank.

Selection Process – Sequence of Examination
