Admissions open in B.Ed. Distance at MANUU:
Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU),has started admission process for B.Ed. distance programme. According to Prof. P.F. Rahman, Director, DDE the last date for online submission of application forms is 28th February and the entrance test will be held on 17th of March. Applications are accepted Online only. Library is the heart of any academic institution. Prof. K Laxminarayana (IAS) Retd, Founder Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation expressed this view while addressing valedictory function of refresher course in Library and Information Science at UGC – Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC). The course designed for the faculty of Library and Information Science concluded on 23rd January. The course was inaugurated on January 3.Prof. Laxminarayana in his address said Libraries play a very important role in the dissemination of knowledge and information.
Librarians must keep themselves updated in their respective field to disseminate knowledge and information, he added. He also presented two books
to each participant on NTR Biography and distributed certificates to them.
Dr. M.A. Sikandar, Registrar and i/c, Director, UGC-HRDC highlighted the importance of
refresher course for Library professionals.
A total of 37 participants of Library & Information Science discipline from various degree colleges and universities of different states took part in the course. Few participants from programme shared their experiences and presented feedback about the programme. Dr Tahseen Bilgrami, Deputy Director of UGC-HRDC welcomed the gathering. Dr. Akhtar Parvez, Course Coordinator and Librarian, MAUU proposed vote of thanks.
