State human resource department minister Audimulapu Suresh announced the examination schedule for intermediate students here in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. Speaking to reporters, Audimulapu Suresh said that the first year examinations will start from May 5 and the second year examinations from May 6.

AP Inter Exam Dates 2021:

“A total of 10.06 lakh students will appear for the examinations, including 5.25 lakh first year students and 4.8 lakh second year students. A total of 1,448 examination centres will be set up to conduct these examinations. The examinations will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm. The practical examinations are proposed to be conducted from 31 March 2021 to 24 April 2021,” said Audimulapu Suresh.

The minister said that examinations are scheduled to be conducted simultaneously with Andhra Pradesh. “We spoke to the Andhra Pradesh officials and finalised the same schedule for the two Telugu states to avoid confusion among students,” said Audimulapu Suresh. Commissioner of the Board of Intermediate Education Udaya Lakshmi was present during the announcement.

Earlier, a group of post-doctoral fellows and guest faculty from various state universities met the HRD minister. They requested Audimulapu Suresh to provide them with some weightage in the ongoing recruitment. Audimulapu Suresh promised to consider making them directly eligible for interviews for positions of assistant professors. “We will also look into the aspects of job security and wages,” said Audimulapu Suresh. Representatives of the post-doctoral fellows association Dr GKD Prasad, Dr G Giribabu, Dr D Nageswara Rao were present among others.
